DESCRIPTION: EPW - Unsigned, gold fusee repeater with erotic automation, 56mm, 18K gold (tested) OF original case with attractive engine turned rear pattern and rope twist band, spring loaded gilt cuvette has a concealed central erotic automaton scene beneath spring loaded lid, outer case lid with incuse casemaker’s “PG“ and "KI" markings, white enamel dial with winding aperture at 2, KWKS, likely a verge escapement, gilt mvt with pierced and engraved foliate scrolled two-footed balance bridge, s#1024 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 75.1 dwt (116.8 g). CONDITION: Mvt: NR, ticks with reverse pressure on winding arbor or clockwise pressure on setting arbor, repeat function (presumably a quarter-hour repeater) does not engage with the pendant depressing freely without resistance, automaton function unknown...
CONDITION: Mvt: NR, fully wound, ticks with reverse pressure on winding arbor or clockwise pressure on setting arbor, repeat function (presumably a quarter-hour repeater) does not engage with the pendant depressing freely without resistance, automaton function unknown as watch is NR, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, few fine scratches and slight cloudiness on plates, some oxide on steelwork, shallow dent at perimeter of regulator disk; dial has two edge flakes near 10 and a short scratch near center; fine hands, minute with a metal break and some bend; case rear hinge pin is rotated with sharp points protruding slightly, case shows little wear, small soldered repairs of band near hinge and at 10:30, scattered shallow dents on rear and band, engraving detail shows mild reduction; tight bow; good glass crystal.
